Registration is open to all Beat Konductaz _ This battle is open to all Beat Konductaz who are interested in competing and the winner will advance to the DC Metro Final on December 21 2012, w Grussle, Brandon Carlyle and Queen Beats.
Head To Head Battle _ You will be given 3 separate tasks to prepare
1. Sample Slaya – You will be given a sample cd to rip and incorporate into your own creative beat
2. 2012 Remix – You will be given a selected song with acapella version to remix
3. One Man Army – You make an original beat to best represent Washington D.C. and rock the crowd
Beat Konductaz Head 2 Head Battle Official Rules
All beats must be played and performed live on stage using your own equipment, no prerecorded cds will be accepted.
1. Sample Slaya is a live beat production task- Dj/Producers will be given audio to sample and incorporate into their own creative beats on a stage in front of their peers.
1a. Dj/Producers must bring any and all equipment necessary in their beat making process. The Audio sample will be provided on the night of the event, at the venue during the battle introductions.
1b. Dj/Producers will have 3 hrs to produce beat live on stage and then 3 minutes to perform beat live in front of their peers.
2. 2012 Remix is a title track remix task- Dj/Producers will be emailed a week prior to battle with a selected song to remix.
2a. Dj/Producers will receive the original track, instrumental and acapella versions of selected song to remix.
3. One Man Army is a full production and performance task- Dj/Producers produce and perform an original beat.
3a. Dj/Producers beat can be premeditated or created live during event but must be performed live using only the same equipment.
